"I began riding bikes to the pool as a kid, now helping you ride bikes is my business. How cool is that!"

I began Big Wheel Coaching in 2010 as a hobby to accompany my full-time job teaching junior high and high school physical education. I soon realized that the business would be successful as a solo venture and I quit my teaching job of eight years. I now view my job as “teaching PE for adults” where I can provide structure, feedback and accountability for even the busiest of clients.
I have been racing bicycles since 2004 where I began as an avid mountain biker. In 2008, I received my Professional Mountain Bike license and traveled the country racing the NORBA cross country and short track events.
In 2010, I chose to shift my focus to road cycling since Southern California is a hot bed for the sport. I quickly adapted to the different type of racing and fell in love with road racing.
I have had many great experiences racing as a domestique across the country at top level road events while remaining a staple of the local road racing scene.
I believe that the combination of my educational and professional background, along with racing experience all come into play with my coaching my athletes. Hinging on these experiences, I have created a comprehensive template for coaching both the mental and physical aspects of training.
I am confident guiding my athletes to peak physical fitness through a training plan that is custom tailored to their specific abilities, schedules and goals. Through sustainable and attainable training, my athletes are able to reach and surpass their goals.
